BLEND- II Phase Training at GVHSS Mulleria

       The second phase of BLEND Training for Teachers of all schools in the District started today(31 July 2014) in 14 centres all over the district. The training aims at enabling the teachers to design and maintain a Blog for their school. Te competency they exhibited in the previous phase of training was really amazing. With the second phase and regular follow up all of them will be able to maintain a Blog for their school and thereon announce their presence and achievements in the field of General Education, which is facing a tough competition from among various other agencies including the Unaided Institutions, CBSE etc.

 

       The second Phase of the training at GVHSS Mulleria started with 18 enthusiastic participants who occupied their seats well before time and do not mind to leave the venue even after the scheduled time of ending. They spent all the time in designing a new and attractive header for their blog, eager to reach the level perfection. Later they went through various steps of improving the Layout of their blog, adding various Gadgets such as Images, Clock, Gallery, Linklist, RSS feed from Newspapers, Blog stats, Archives, Popular Posts and html Gadget(Flash news).

         Really the expectation is very high and efforts are tireless, hence the product will be WORTH.
 

      Day-2 : The activities of second day started with the presentation of Documentation of the previous day by Smt. Reshma M. of ALPS Paniye. Only 16 participants turned up . The teachers engaged themselves in going through the tasks of the previous day very enthusiastically well before time. In continuation of the programme the teachers went through the process of modifying their blogs. They designed the background of blogs using attractive colours, templates and colour themes. They practised Advanced settings to beautify Page text,Tabs text, Tabs background. Post title colour including font size,font etc. Change in Date header, Post footer,Gadget attributes, Images, Accent. They also learned about Settings to modify Title, description, Privacy, giving permissions to blog authors, readers and for posting comments. The teachers understood about File sharing through Google Drive service. At the end of the training programme all newly created Blogs were displayed for a general evaluatiin and self evaluation. Sri Wills Kumar G. of GUPS Pallangod presented the Documentation of the day. The RPs Sri Abdul Salam A.M.(GHSS Adoor) and Sri Vasantharaja V.P.( GVHSS Mulleria) gave the concluding address.

        It is not an exaggeration that all participants- most of them were not well trained in the use of computers and the internet – all the matters so easily that one will be surprised to see their newly created blog pages. It should not be forgotten that they were almost newcomers to the world of Blogs; not well practised computer users and designed beautiful Blogs only through a training of 4 days.

         No doubt, the 4 day BLEND training given to teachers is very useful not only for the concerned persons but also to their respective schools and the students.

          From today the activities of our Kerala Syllabus Schools will reach into the General Public and will create an awareness of the Value and Height of Public Education in the state.
